House Mouse's House Storybox for GDT Joanna Sheen

I done this story box for the GDT Joanna Sheen blog - a great priveledge for me as this is one of my favourite shops, especially being the main home of House Mouse.
I love doing shabby chic and exploding boxes, but wanted to do something fun for this challenge. I love these little mice and their adventures and had been thinking about making a little story for them for a while now, so this was an opportunity to do it. Its a box with a story that a parent and child or grandparents can sit down with their little one and make up little adventures, with lots of texture on it too. It then makes a nice keepsake ornament for their bedroom to cherish those moments of childhood.

I had to do embossing, so tried to incorporate 3 different styles of embossing. Firstly i used the triple House mouse cd to get my flowers and resized them all different sizes, cut them all out (which was a task in itself cutting all those flowers out, but very therapeutic). I printed the pictures that i thought were perfect for the story to fit around my little swimming pool i wanted to make for them.                                                                                          The 1st was the wet embossing, dipping the large flower into UTEE in my melting pot, the second was using an embossing plate for the walls, then inking them with distress inks, the 3rd was after i had cut out all the purple flowers (including the large one), i used an embossing tool to curl and shape.
The pool was just a seal proof bag with hair gel inside, some flowersoft round the edges (makes lovely texture), diecut some grass and inked

Hope you all enjoy the idea - these little mice really are perfect for any occassion and theres so much on the CD's to do so many stories with.
Thank you for calling by and have a fantabulous day xxxx
